This exam is held once a year to recruit NABARD Grade ‘B’ Officers. Candidates who get selected in NABARD Grade ‘B’ work as development assistants. The aspirants who have done their graduation or post-graduation in any subject and have secured 60% or more can sit for the exam.
3. Agricultural Research Scientist(ARS)
Agricultural Scientists Recruitment Board (ASRB) holds the Agricultural Research Services examination. This competitive exam is conducted for the recruitment of scientists in Agricultural Research Services (ARS) under various disciplines. Currently, there are 55 related disciplines. This exam is conducted in two stages: ASRB ARS Preliminary Exam and the ASRB ARS Main exam.
4. Agricultural Field Officer (AFO)
This is a banking and finance job. As per the RBI’s guidelines for commercial banks, every year, banks need to open at least 25% of the branches in unbanked rural areas. An Agricultural Field Officer (AFO directly works with farmers. Other than farmers, they also work with companies related to agriculture, rural development and its allied fields. The other benefit of this job is that it helps you get a great understanding of the rural population, especially farmers, and their financial requirements.
5. Agricultural Development Officer (ADO)
It is one of the most prestigious jobs in the agriculture sector. The aspirant should have a bachelor’s degree in science, with a specialization in agricultural engineering or in biology and agricultural science. An ADO has to ensure that all the agricultural practices are in lieu of the state and local rules and regulations. His main task is to test and investigate all the processes, so as to determine whether they are complying with these rules. 6. Block Development Officer (BDO)
The BDO aspirant needs to crack the Public Civil Service Exam (PCS) that is conducted annually by state governments. The eligible candidate should be at least 21 years old and must be a graduate of a recognized university. A BDO takes care of the execution of plans and programs approved by the authorities. They have the authority to sign on behalf of the Panchayat Samiti and they authenticate all letters and documents prior to approval by the authorities.
7. Agriculture Manager
The aspirant must have completed a bachelor’s degree program in agriculture. The agriculture managers are responsible for planning, organizing and supervising activities on farm estates such as raising animals, tending crops, planning strategies for maximum yield, organizing farm administration and managing staff.
8. Agronomy Sales Manager
These are the subject matter experts involved in preparing a team that helps farmers increase crop production and choose correct harvesting techniques. Apart from imparting knowledge, they are also responsible for selling their company’s offerings like seeds, soil, and manure.
9. Agricultural Educator
If you have done a bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture, you can become an agricultural educator. They can educate students about agriculture, food and natural resources. They can also join any educational institution or research center.
